Animal Research
Kindergarten researched farm animals using Pebble Go. They used a graphic organizer to find 4 facts about their animal. Students then chose how they would like to present their information.
Dan the Flying Man Book - Green Screen
In the story Dan flies over different things. Students could pick from several different backgrounds and then using the green screen, had their picture taken as if they were flying in that background. We then wrote in our speech bubbles to describe what we flew over and what we saw.
Chatterpix
After completing an author study on Dr. Seuss, Kindergarteners used Chatter Pix Kids to share their favorite Dr. Seuss books!
Animal - Green Screen
After reading non-fictions books about animals, kindergarten students
selected a favorite animal that they wanted to learn more about. Students
researched the animals using Pebble Go to find interesting facts. They then
created animal puppets, selected a habitat photo, and used Touch Cast
to create green screen presentations!
Presidents - Chatterpix
After reading about presidents and the election, Kindergarten students wrote about the qualities that would make them a great president. Students then took a picture dressed up as a president and read their writing using Chatterpix.
Penguin Book
Students spent a week reading books and researching penguins independently on their ipads. Throughout their research, students completed a graphic organizer. The kindergarten students used the app Book Creator to create a non-fiction book all about penguins.
Circle Book
To celebrate Pi day, students used their ipads to complete a circle scavenger hunt throughout the school. They used their ipads to take pictures of the circles they found. After finding circles, kindergarten students created a book using sight words and kid writing in the app Book Creator to detail their adventure.
Sphere Chatterpix
Using model magic, students created a 3-D shape of their choosing. After the shape was made, they used the app Chatterpix to describe the shape and its attributes.
