It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that I begin my sixth year as Assistant Superintendent of Muhlenberg School District.

My six years at Muhlenberg have been focused on developing meaningful relationships and a collaborative spirit with teachers, parents, students and community members to build support for district initiatives.   These experiences have allowed me to showcase my analytic, creative, and synergistic skills.

The most important initiative our district has undertaken over this time has been Mental Health.  This initiative is critical to our success because it is essential at every stage of life, from childhood to adolescence through adulthood.  It includes emotional, psychological and social well-being.  It affects how we think, feel, and act.  It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices.

Another key initiative has been our focus on 21st century teaching and learning.  We have made great strides with equipping our staff and students with the most appropriate resources, cutting edge technology, rigorous curriculum, and meaningful professional development.  Those resources have allowed us to make significant improvements in the areas of Literacy and STEM.

Before coming to Muhlenberg, I was Principal at Bridgeport Elementary School in the Upper Merion Area School District; Principal at Southern Middle School and Glenside Elementary School in the Reading School District.

In 2013-14, Bridgeport Elementary had the 2nd highest SPP score (85) in Montgomery County when compared with schools of similar demographic make-up (60% or more Economically Disadvantaged).  In 2010, U.S... Congressman Joe Sestak presented our school with a "Special Congressional Recognition" certificate for outstanding academic achievement, community service, and patriotism.  Additionally, The Montgomery County Times Herald (2008) selected Bridgeport Elementary as "One of the Best" schools in Montgomery County.

I received my Bachelor's Degree in History/Secondary Education from Lebanon Valley College; Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Penn State University and Doctorate of Education from Widener University.

My wife, Jen and I are the proud parents of five wonderful children.
