Safe To Say Something
On Monday, January 14, Muhlenberg School District will be utilizing a new statewide school safety program called Safe2 Say Something, run through the cooperation of the Sandy Hook Promise Organization. This program is designed to provide students, staff, and parents with 3 different options to report suspected or potentially dangerous situations anonymously to school and law enforcement officials. The options that will be available through this program are a downloadable App, a website, and a toll free, 24 hour hotline. Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be training our students and staff on how and when to use this program. We have also worked cooperatively with both the Muhlenberg Township Police Department and the Laureldale Borough Police Department during the District training phase of this program, and they are both fully prepared to work with us to utilize the program in the most effective and responsive manner as possible. A letter will be sent home with each Muhlenberg School District student on Monday, January 14 that contains further information. We also encourage you to visit the Safe2Say website at https://www.safe2saypa.org/
Thank you for your time and cooperation as we work together to keep our students, staff, and resources safe in Muhlenberg School District.
