    Thank you for visiting the Muhlenberg Elementary Center (MEC) website.  It is an absolute honor to serve as Principal for the school my own children attended and the community with which I have lived for the past thirty-one years. 

    It is our goal to ensure every student fulfills their academic and social-emotional potential. Through goal-setting and character development, students will be able to take ownership of their own academic path.  As a team of parents/guardians, teachers and staff, we must ensure that the students fulfill that path by maintaining effective communication and remaining focused on the common goal of wanting what is best for each individual student. 

    To support a safe and positive school environment, MEC uses the High-Five Expectations as daily guidelines:

    • Be Responsible
    • Be Respectful
    • Be There, Be Ready
    • Follow Directions
    • Use Self-Control

    These are the characteristics of good citizenship and interpersonal skills.  It is important that the important adults in a child's life take time to talk and model what it means to be a good citizen and community member in and out of school.
