Mr. Nathan Mohler
Hello! My name is Nathan Mohler, band director here at Muhlenberg High School. While this is my first year directing the bands at Muhlenberg High School, this is my 11th year of educating. Over the past decade, I have taught elementary general music, elementary beginning band, and most recently, I was the band director for 5 years at Indian River High School is Dagsboro, DE. During my four and half years at the elementary level, I helped to start over 700 students on band instruments. While at IRHS, I took the band to Gatlinburg, TN, Williamsburg, VA, Cleveland, OH, and Walt Disney World, FL. Most notably I helped lead the marching band to a governor's nomination and successful performance in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, DC this past May. I greatly enjoyed my time instructing in Delaware, but I missed my family here in Berks County.
A Kutztown native, it was tough for me to have my wife Jenny and my two sons hours away from their cousins. The goal to move them closer to family led me to this position at MHS. I am very excited to instruct Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band, and steel drums this year. I am also pleased to be team teaching Major Music with Mr. Bill Snelling. I am looking forward to the most amazing year here at MHS! Go Muhls!
