    As your child's school counselor, my role is to support their educational, emotional, and social development. School counselors are an integral part of the total school program, and they help to coordinate the efforts of pupils, parents, the professional staff, and agency professionals. 

    School Counseling Services

    • Lead or coordinate classroom activities or other programming focused on personal social skills, conflict resolution, and career awareness
    • Coordinate No Place for Hate and other positive school initiatives
    • Consult with teachers and parents regarding student academic and behavioral progress
    • Coordinate local and state standardized testing
    • Create and monitor Chapter 15 service agreements
    • Coordinate and facilitate student interventions and support through the Student Assistant Program
    • Facilitate or coordinate educational/support groups
    • Meet with students individually or in small groups to foster personal development and remediate short-term issues
    • Assist parents in connecting with community professionals and agencies for issues that are beyond the realm of the school counselor
