DAILY INSTRUCTION:
1. Word of the Day (Daily Warm-Up)
2. Amplify ELA: Daily lessons follow a unit theme with a focus on developing their own ideas based on a content rich text. Often daily work will end with a Solo reading assignment to engage students with the text independently.

3. Independent Reading: Students will be required to read a school appropriate and age appropriate novel, and will be asked to ensure they have a book to read AT EVERY CLASS. Students will journal twice a week and keep track of what they read on a log.
4. Grammar: Grammar lessons will be delivered bi-weekly, and students will incorporate what they learn into their daily reading and writing.
