My name is Mrs. Aimee Walter and I am the physical education teacher at C.E. Cole.  This is my forth year as a teacher at the school and am excited about teaching this subject.  It is very important for students to be physically active for at least 60 minutes per day.  It is my goal to have all students participate to the physical levels they are comfortable with.  I teach Kindergarten, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students in the school.  My overview on physical education at this grade level is to teach students new skills or improve at current ones, use team work, to learn safety when being physically active, and most importantly: TO HAVE FUN!
During the school year, the students will learn about fitness including physical fitness testing, engaging in team building activities, and participate in team/individual sports.  The Hoops for Heart activity will also take place again this year.  At the end of the school year, students will be able to participate in outdoors activities during a Field Day experience.
I hope to be able to inspire students to find something they enjoy and excel at during the course of the school year.  It is important to find time to be active everyday and I am here to help give students those tools to do so.  I hope you enjoy my page and have a wonderful school year.  GO MUHLS!!!
