Hello! My name is Kayla Garcia and I am excited to be entering my 14th year of teaching! This will be my fourth year with Muhlenberg School District and I will be serving as an Advanced ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher at the high school. Prior to my time here, I served as a classroom teacher for 7 years and an elementary ESL teacher for 3 years. I have greatly enjoyed working with all of my students and look forward to getting to know each of you.

I am a local graduate of Reading Senior High School (2005) and went on to attend Alvernia University for my undergraduate studies. I received my Elementary and Early Childhood Education degrees in 2009. I then pursued my graduate studies through American College of Education, where I completed my certification in English as a Second Language (K-12) and attained my Master's in Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment in 2015.

Outside of school, I am a mother to a lively 7 year old daughter and 5 year old son. They keep me on my toes! My husband is also a local STEM teacher and football coach, so you may see us around the community supporting various sporting events!
