Berks County Transition Coordinating Council
The Berks County Transition Coordinating Council (BCTCC) is a partnership of consumers, students and their families, educators, service providers, employers, post-secondary institutions and the Berks County community. BCTCC meets bi-monthly during the school year. The MISSION of BCTCC is to plan and facilitate the successful movement of students with disabilities from school programs to adult life. The GOAL of BCTCC is for each student with a disability to achieve his/her maximum potential for inclusion in all aspects of adult life.

Smart Futures / Keys2Work
This website is the home to the Keys2Work program that can be used to assess skills and interests. The program allows the user to explore careers based on these assessed skills and interests. Keys2Work also provides remediation activities in academic and vocational areas. Each student with an IEP is given access to the site in 9th grade through their SSTEPS I class. They have their own User ID and password, and have access to the site for 4 years.

This link allows you to search and compare colleges across the county. This website provides visuals that help you easily see important factors about a college including cost, amount of debt, starting salary, average SAT scores, and much more.

What post-secondary school should you attend?
This website provides excellent information for someone deciding what school he/she should attend. It does require the user to register with the program at no cost. Once registered the user will be able to input their specific information (Current GPA, SAT scores, extracurricular activities, etc.) to be factored to determine their chances of being accepted at specific schools. It also allows the user to research entrance requirements of various schools.
