Ms. Kachina Leigh

Kachina Leigh is a nationally recognized fiber artist who teaches studio art at Muhlenberg High School.  Her work was included in the Lark publication 500 Felt Objects and referenced in Uncovering Fashion: Fashion Communications Across the Media. 

 

She earned a B.A. in English and French with an Art History minor at Albright College; she received her M. A. in Art History from Temple University.  She also holds an MFA from the University of the Arts.  Ms. Leigh has also studied at the Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts, the University of the Arts, Touchstone Center for Crafts, and Cannon Hill Studios.  

 

In addition to her work as a public educator, Ms. Leigh has also lectured at St. Francis University, Albright College, La Salle University, Philadelphia University, Temple University and taught at the Peters Valley Center for Craft.  

Ms. Leigh has participated in numerous educational travel programs, enabling her to study in Europe, Japan, Mexico, Turkey, Bahrain, Qatar and South Africa.  These experiences have enabled Ms. Leigh to share a variety of perspectives and artistic traditions with her students.
