Welcome to the district! New Student Registration

Please stop by the Central Registration Office and pick up a registration packet for each student. Central Registration has an office located by the tennis courts and CE Cole gym. For GPS directions use 3630 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605. Once you enter the parking lot, follow the road behind the CE Cole school and public library. There is a separate brick building with blue trim. We have a side entrance marked "Central Registration".  There is construction, but parking spaces are available. 

Regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

In order to register a new student in the Muhlenberg School District, please call the School Registrar. An appointment may be required. A child enrolling in first grade must have completed a kindergarten program or be six years old on or before August 31 to be admitted in the fall. Except for Kindergarten, no registrations will be accepted for the next school year until the day after the last student day of the current school year. For example, students in grades 1-12 who wish to register for the 2025-2026 school year, cannot register until June 9, 2025.

Required Documents for Enrollment:

Any delay in providing the required documentation can be a delay in registration.

  • Completed paper registration packet
  • Two proofs of residency (see below)
  • Immunization records
  • Birth certificate
  • IEP (if applicable)

A parent/guardian must be present in order for a student to be enrolled.

  1. Proof of Residency – Two (2) of the following documents required:
    One (1) document from Category A and one (1) document from Category B.

    Category A – One (1) required

  • Property Deed (including any signed/notarized pages)
  • Current Mortgage Statement or Property Tax Bill
  • Current Lease Agreement (including any signature pages)
  • Please call with any special circumstances

     Category B – One (1) required

  • Current Utility Bill (Example: Electric, Gas, Water, Trash) or

  • Current Vehicle Registration or

  • Voter Registration or

  • Recent Pay stub with Address, current statement from public assistance or Social Security
