Dr. Gangi E. Cucciuffo brings over 25 years of comprehensive experience in public education to the Muhlenberg School District. His career reflects an extensive journey through every facet of the school system, beginning with his foundational work in the classroom and progressing through building-level leadership to District Office administration. This holistic background allows Dr. Cucciuffo to lead with a deep understanding of how district-level policy translates into daily instruction and student success.
Central to his leadership philosophy is the belief that solid, authentic relationships are the primary driver of progress within an organization. He recognizes that sustainable academic growth is only possible when built upon a foundation of trust, collaboration, and mutual respect among staff, students, and families. By prioritizing these connections, he fosters an environment where innovation can flourish and every stakeholder feels valued in the pursuit of common goals.
His leadership is further informed by extensive administrative experience across urban and suburban settings, providing him with a unique ability to navigate diverse community needs and educational environments. Dr. Cucciuffo is recognized for his ability to transform school culture and drive measurable academic gains. As the Director of Teaching and Learning for the Wilson School District, he oversaw a period of historic achievement. By spearheading strategic curricular revisions and the implementation of embedded professional development, he guided the district to achieve the 2nd highest PVAAS growth in Math PSSA and the 10th highest PVAAS growth in ELA PSSA across the state of Pennsylvania.
Prior to his district-level successes, Dr. Cucciuffo established a reputation as a high-impact principal at both the elementary and secondary levels. He notably led two large middle schools, Ephrata Middle School and Fleetwood Area Middle School, to achieve exponential student achievement growth. Under his leadership, both schools saw their School Performance Profile scores grow by over 20 points, a testament to his ability to align staff, students, and resources toward a goal of excellence. In addition to instructional gains, he has successfully secured over $3.5 million in competitive grants to fund essential building projects, curricular enhancements, and professional development initiatives.
Dr. Cucciuffo’s leadership is anchored by a rigorous academic foundation. He holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Delaware Valley University. He began his journey in the classroom with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and later earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University.
Combining nearly three decades of practical experience with advanced research-based strategies, Dr. Cucciuffo is dedicated to the Muhlenberg community. His vision for the upcoming year is to build upon the district's strong foundations, ensuring that every Muhl benefits from a rigorous, supportive, and world-class educational experience that prepares them for lifelong success.
