Mr. Angove

I grew up in Falmouth, England; Falmouth is a seaside town in the county of Cornwall.  I lived in Falmouth until I moved away to study at the University of Worcester, where I gained my BSc Hons. in Sport Studies with Associated Art & Design.  After leaving Worcester I then continued my studies in Plymouth, achieving a Post Graduate Certificate in Education for Secondary Physical Education with Qualified Teacher Status.  The first 8 years of my teaching career were spent teaching Health & Physical Education to middle and high school aged students at The Marlborough School, in Woodstock Oxfordshire.  As well as teaching at The Marlborough School, I also coached successful soccer, cricket, rugby, and basketball teams; some of my former soccer students have gone on to become professional soccer players in England.
In 2005 I took part in the UK/US Fulbright Teacher exchange, and I taught Health & Physical Education at Dauphin County Technical School in Harrisburg for 1 year.  I loved my time in the U.S. so much that I immigrated here in 2008, and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2011.  The U.S. feels like home to me, and I am happily living in Berks County with my wife and 2 young children.
In 2010 I joined Mann Elementary in Philadelphia, and taught Health & Physical Education to Grades K-6 for 3 years.
In England I played cricket to the equivalent of Minor League Baseball standard, and a few games beyond that; I also enjoyed playing as many other sports as possible, soccer being one of the main ones.  Since I moved to the U.S. I have played competitive baseball and soccer, and I look forward to continuing this.  I also love music and playing the guitar and bass; I play lead guitar in two local rock bands.
I also have a Master's Degree in Educational Development & Strategies from Wilkes University, and I am looking to continue my education beyond that.
I am extremely happy with my new life here in the U.S., and I am very excited to be teaching Health & Physical Education in the Muhlenberg School District.
