• A Little Bit About Me

I have lived in Berks County, Pennsylvania all my life. I am a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School, where I was very active in marching band, choir, and orchestra. I was an active member of all three areas of music from the seventh grade through my senior year. Upon finishing high school, I attended Kutztown University where I majored in Elementary and Special Education. During my four years at Kutztown University, I was a member of Kappa Delta Pi, an international educational honor’s society. I graduated cum laude with a dual Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education. I am currently working toward a M.S. in Education Classroom Technology through Wilkes University. These courses are a wonderful addition to my current knowledge in the area of elementary education as well as education technology and provide me with many resources to use in my classroom. The 2017-2018 school year will be my fourteenth year as a special education teacher and my twelfth year working in the Muhlenberg School District at the Elementary Center. I am very proud to be a part of the wonderful MEC team, where the staff is supportive, caring, and always has the best interest of the students in mind.

    Outside of School

On September 24, 2015, my husband and I moved into our "forever home" on over 2.5 acres of land. We are the owners of two wonderful dogs, Corona, a Weimeraner, and Guinness, a Great Dane-Lab mix. They keep us very busy, as they are very playful and active dogs who love to chase our two cats. We love to take Corona and Guinness camping, swimming, and hiking. I also enjoy reading, watching the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers, and spending time with my family.
