Ms. Jennifer Vroman

I have been working in Muhlenberg School District as an English teacher for 19 years. My favorite things about teaching are making connections with young people, being creative in my lessons, and the fact that it is never boring--hah!  My passions are  poetry, young adult literature, multi-cultural literature, and creative writing. Some of the most memorable experiences of my career include taking students to the Reading Olympics, taking contestant to Poetry Out Loud Competitions, and advising Acceptance Club and Book Club.

I currently live in Leesport with my husband and three-year old daughter and enjoy watching Moana with my family, shopping for toddler clothes, crafting, and eating cake. I believe that we are never finished growing, that every moment is precious, and that it is okay to be exactly who we are.

I have my Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Muhlenberg College, where I played varsity soccer, tutored, and earned my teaching credentials. I have a Master's in English from Kutztown University, achieved in part by writing a thesis entitled "Mother-Daughter Identities and Dynamics in Contemporary Hispanic Women's Literature." I am currently working toward a Master's in Education from La Salle University and hope to complete the program in the next two years.

Someday, I would love to write children's books, ya novels, and collections of poetry, become fully bilingual, and travel to Spain, France, and Ireland.
