Hello and welcome to the Muhlenberg School District web site and my own personal homepage.  My name is Steve Baylor and I am the Principal of the Muhlenberg Elementary Center.

After recently being the Assistant Principal at the middle school, this 2010-2011 school year begins my career as Principal. I must say that I am very pleased and excited to be part of the the MEC family and community.  I feel very fortunate to be working with outstanding teachers, staff and administration that firmly believe in supporting all of our students through both rigorous, standards-aligned academics and critical developmental challenges.

I am also extremely proud to have witnessed first-hand a school community that offers their support for all our children in a variety of significant ways.  It is only with this type of reciprocating support and collaboration in which a school becomes more than a mere building, and instead a community—-a professional learning community.

I am here to help and support teachers, staff, families and students to maximize all of their true potential so that we can collectively ensure that all children will be highly educated and successful citizens.  If you ever need any type of assistance from me that will help us reach that goal, never hesitate to contact me using any of the above information.
