At the beginning of the 2010-2011 school year, the gifted program students receive an ELMS class schedule from Mrs. Escott. The schedule follows the district's six-day cycle to allow the students to participate in regular education classes, school activities, and the gifted program. Students meet individually and as a group.

Throughout the year, students will be encouraged to use the ELMS meeting times as an opportunity to pursue their interests and enhance their abilities so the schedules can be adjusted accordingly. Communication and cooperation are the keys to an effective program.
