CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS

  1. Arrive quickly and quietly to class.
  2. Be in your assigned seat when the bell rings.
  3. Follow directions the first time they are given.
  4. Be considerate of others. Do not interfere with the learning atmosphere of others.
  5. Come to class prepared:
**Pencil-->Have it sharpened before class starts.

**Binder-->For notes and filing homework.

**Homework-->Have it out and completed when the bell rings.

**Textbook-->Bring it class everyday and have it covered.

**Planner-->Write down homework at the end of each class.

Being unprepared can have a negative impact on your grade!

WHY IS MATH NECESSARY?

  • Mathematical ability empowers students with analytical reasoning skills and problem-solving strategies.
  • Math problem-solving skills can simplify your life and save you time and money.
  • Mathematical ability gives you more earning power. The more math courses you take, the more money you can earn!
  • Employers often use math as a screening device even though the job may not require the use of math directly.
  • Math helps students learn to deal creatively with repetition.
