GRADING POLICY

• Chapter Tests—40% of the marking period grade. Two chapter tests each quarter.
• Quizzes—40% of the marking period grade.
• Homework Checks—10% of the marking period grade
• Notebook Grade--10% of the marking period grade.

Notebook grades may take 3 different formats:

*Open note quiz--students are allowed to use notes to answer questions.

*Homework quiz--students will refer to homework from previous nights to write problems and correct solutions.

*Preparedness quiz--a check to see that students have the required materials for class.
