The Muhlenberg School District believes athletics is an integral part of the educational process. These learning experiences are consistent with the educational goals of the District and complement the academic program.

Through athletics, our student-athletes should be learning the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, dedication and hard work. As Athletic Director, I would like our athletes to be willing to make a significant personal commitment to get the most out of the development of their skills, knowledge, and attitudes relative to the particular sport. Many of the character traits required to be a successful student-athlete are exactly those that will promote a successful life after high school. The positive attributes student-athletes receive through athletics are immeasurable. The lessons they learn and the friendships they develop will far outlast the events of one game or even one season.

As parents and fans, please keep in mind positive sportsmanship when supporting the young athletes. Good sportsmanship is not only the responsibility of the coaches and athletes but also the fans in attendance. As spectators you play an important role in our athletic program, and your actions and reactions will determine the quality of sportsmanship for our school and community.
